Albert McCree, Jr. passed away on April 8, 2024 at the Dermott City Nursing Home. Albert McCree was born in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Albert McCree, Sr., and the late Elizabeth McCree on April 25, 1928. He was united in holy matrimony to Bernice Polk and to this union three children were born. He later married Gloria Matthews and they had on son.
He was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers where he worked for forty-two years. He also worked for Sam Walls Grocery as a store clerk, and David Livingston's store as a night security guard.
He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph McCree, three sisters, Annie Mae Green, Alvine Parker, and Pearl Johnson, and two brothers, Willie McCree and Johnny McCree.
He leaves to cherish his memories eight children, Evelyn Richmond (Wesley) of Country Club Hills, IL, Kenny McCree, Minnesota, Ellis Matthews (Sherry) of Lake Village, AR, Audrey McCree of Parkdale, AR Victor Mcree, Country Hills, IL, Paul McCree, Peoria, IL, DeWayne McCree, Columbus, OH, and Patricia McCree, Harris TN. Two sisters Louise Taylor of Fresno, CA and Irene Esterling (Lilton) of Benton Harbor, MI, one brother Richard McCree (Cleo) of Charlotte, North Carolina. He has 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
