McPHEE, Albert Emerson Jr., 64, of Richmond, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1944 in Laramie, Wyoming to Albert E. McPhee Sr. and Mabel Burton McPhee Perry. He spent his working years as a Master Electrician in New Mexico and Virginia. After receiving a heart transplant at MCV in 1996, he spent the next 12 years volunteering there and helping people in similar situations. He thoroughly enjoyed his work at the hospital and was grateful for all the friends and support he had there. He is survived by one son, Ron McPhee of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Lisa Barnes and husband, David, of Albuquerque, N.M. and Victoria Gonzalez and husband, Nicholas, of New Bern, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Dusty Hooke and husband, David, of Richmond and Cheryl Carmody of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Marilyn McPhee of San Antonio, Texas and Bonnie Eastmond of American Fork, Utah; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held and a memorial service will be scheduled at MCV at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the American Heart Association. The family would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and volunteers at MCV, who cared for him and loved him for the last 12 years.
