Albert R. Pikul, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in St. Albans, after a period of declining health. Born on October 7, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, Albert lived a life grounded in love, family, and service.
A proud veteran, Albert dedicated four years to the Navy, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a sense of duty and honor that he carried throughout his decades-long career. He spent many years as a parts manager at Sears, from which he retired in 2001. Albert was known not just for his diligence at work but also for his warm and caring demeanor. He was an amazing father, an amazing grandfather and he will never be forgotten. Albert was truly an amazing family man, always eager to lend a helping hand to those around him.
Those who knew Albert cherished his loving spirit. He had a zest for life, delighting in activities such as horseracing and visiting the casino. He found joy in traveling, especially during road trips with his son, William, creating memories that would last a lifetime. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and the Price is Right.
Albert is survived by his son, William Pikul, and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca. He took immense pride in his grandchildren: Alexander, Jacob, Ellen, Evan, and Lane, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kayden, Marleigh, Peyton, and Zoey. His siblings, Sheila Pritchete and Morgan Pikul, also carry on his legacy, holding dear the memories they created as a family.
Albert was predeceased by his loving parents, Lola and Adam Pikul, and his daughter Linette Pikul. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Albert’s kindness and generosity touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
In accordance with his wishes all services will be private.
