Albert Lee Rayford Junior, a resident of Showlow, Arizona, peacefully departed this life on February 17, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 56. Born on March 23, 1969, in McNary, Arizona, Junior was the cherished sixth child in a large family of ten siblings, each contributing to the lively household environment that marked his childhood.

On June 22, 1980, Albert made a deep commitment to his faith, being baptized in the welcoming waters of his community's church, the Blooming Grove Baptist Church. This spiritual foundation laid the groundwork for his values and the principles he carried throughout his life.
Junior's educational journey began at McNary Elementary and continued through McNary Junior High School. He graduated from Blue Ridge High School in Lakeside, Arizona, in May 1988, marking a significant milestone in his early adult life.

In his free time, Junior finds joy in watching movies, listening to a diverse range of music, and pranking his sisters, niece, nephews, and colleagues, which never fails to bring laughter to their gatherings. His weekends are often spent riding his dirt bike or cruising along open roads on his motorcycle. Family is at the heart of everything Junior does; regardless of how exhausting his day has been, he prioritizes quality time with them. Be it simple family dinners or playful outings, he guarantees he is present. Known for his kindness, Junior is always the first to lend a helping hand. Whether it's yard work, shoveling neighbors' snow, or offering rides to work or medical appointments, he does so with an unwavering spirit and a bright smile that uplifts everyone around him. His genuine nature and warm spirit make him a beloved figure in his circle.

For 35 years, Junior dedicated himself to serving the community through his work at the local Basha grocery stores in Showlow and Taylor, Arizona. His colleagues and customers appreciated him for his warm demeanor, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to providing friendly service. Junior's legacy is one of kindness, community service, and a deep-rooted love for his family and faith.

He is survived by his brother, Michael J. Rayford, who shared many cherished memories with him, and by five loving sisters: Linda, Antoinette, Lucy, Roberta Rayford, and Solatoria Mohning, each of whom holds a special place in their hearts for him. His family extends to his nieces, who brought him joy and laughter: Trakya and Jaidynn Rayford, Shanice and Nylah Williams, Alexandra Rayford, Desiree Mohning, Sofia Skibicki, T'zipora Saville, and Stella Mohning. He was also proud of his nephews,
Bruce Junior ( BJ), David, and Marcus James Mohning, as well as Corey and Zavien Williams, Monte Rayford, and Ethan Skibicki, all of whom carry forward his spirit in their lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee Rayford Sr. and Wilhelmina Williams-Rayford, who nurtured and guided him throughout his life. His sister, Rita Faye Rayford; his brothers, Charles Andrew and Timothy Rayford; and his nephew, Calvin Jeremiah Mohning.

A heartfelt service to honor Junior's memory will take place on March 6, 2026, at Owens/Livingston Mortuary located in Showlow, AZ. The service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until noon, providing a time for family and friends to come together in remembrance and celebration of his life.
