Albert Franklin Robinson, 86, of Marion, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Autumn Care of Marion.
Albert was born on April 4, 1937 to the late Carl Robinson and Agnes Lanning Robinson. He was married to his wife of 64 years, Thursia Bartlett Robinson, and was a member of Turkey Cove Baptist Church. Albert was very fond of antique clocks and he enjoyed collecting coins. He read the Bible everyday and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Jean Robinson; two brothers, Floyd Robinson and Ernie Robinson; two infant brothers, Howard and Richard Robinson; and two sisters, Pauline Ollis and Edith Robinson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Thursia Robinson; three sons, Franklin Robinson (Belinda), Richard Robinson (Derata), and Steven Robinson; a special sister in law, Maxine Bartlett; a special brother in law, Dealo Bartlett; a special nephew, Mark Hollifield; a sister, Elizabeth Stevens; three brothers, Lloyd Robinson (Mary), Robert Robinson, and Leroy Robinson; five grandchildren, Donovan Robinson, Brandon Robinson (Haley), Samuel Robinson (Caitlin), Stephanie Davis, and Denise Rowe; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Bryson, Sydney, Sylus, Sawyer, Ian, and Liana; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Rev. Charles Dicks will officiate. Burial will follow at Turkey Cove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Autumn Care for the dedicated and loving service they provided.
