Albert John Selby, V, husband and father, retired police officer, and beloved friend to many, passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 71.

He married the love of his life, Vicki, on March 10, 1973, in Burke City, Missouri. Together, they shared a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Albert proudly served the Bel-Nor Police Department and City of Ellisville as a police officer for over 30 years, retiring with honor and distinction. Known for his strong sense of duty and unwavering commitment to his community, he was respected by colleagues and citizens alike. He was encouraged to become a police officer by his brother Pat who was also a police officer.

An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Christmas was his favorite time of year-he cherished decorating and spending the holiday season surrounded by family and friends. A true sports enthusiast, he especially loved archery and even competed in the police olympics, representing his department with pride.

Some of his fondest moments were spent at the family farm in Willow Springs, a place that brought him peace and happiness throughout his life. He was very proud of his son in all of his accomplishments in the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Vicki Selby nee Oberfeld of St. Charles, Missouri; his son, Albert Selby, VI of St. Charles, MO; brother, Robert Patrick and wife Judith Selby of St. Peters, MO; brother-in-law, Kenneth and wife Linda Randolph of Warrenton, MO; nephew, Patrick and his wife Lindsay Selby; niece, Melissa and her husband Steven Allcorn; numerous great nieces and nephews; He is preceded in death by his father, Albert John Selby, IV, and mother, Sylvia Ann Selby nee Aubuchon.
