It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Stevens, who left us on October 13, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on August 12, 1944, in Georgia, Albert grew up to become a proud US Marine veteran. Known for his hard work and dedication, he found his place in the cotton textiles industry as a fixer.
Albert was more than just his occupation; he was a loving companion, a devoted father, a cherished brother, and a good friend to many. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with his presence and always lent a helping hand to those in need. Albert will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and the countless moments of joy he brought to the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his fiancé and caregiver, Patricia Capps; son, Matthew Stevens; brothers, Otis and Alfred Stevens; sister, Jeanette Crisp; step-son, Barry Almond.
Funeral services will be held in honor of Albert's life at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. We invite all who knew and loved Albert to join us as we say our goodbyes and reflect on the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. He will then be laid to rest beside his late wife, Linda Sue Stevens, at Pineview Cemetery, Mt. Holly, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Albert was preceded in death by his parents Hoke and Hazel Stevens; daughter, Mindy Michelle Stevens.
