Albert Suter Obituary
Albert Chester Suter of Bergenfield was 94 years old when he passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Albert was a resident of Cliffside Park and Guttenberg before settling in Bergenfield where he has lived since 1956. Albert was well known for the delis he owned and operated in North Bergen. He went on to work for Felician College and the Archdiocese of Newark before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard having served over 20 years as a Tank Instructor. Albert was a faithful Catholic and a very dedicated parishioner of the Church of the Ascension in New Milford where he served faithfully as an usher and head counter for over 50 years.
Albert is predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara (nee Camerlengo). He is the loving father of the late Timothy Suter and his wife Agnes, Nadine Allen and her husband Daniel, Gregory Suter and his wife Margie, Colleen Reyes and her husband Davey, and Brendan Suter and his wife Kelly. He is survived by a dear brother Edward Suter. Albert was predeceased by his brothers Arthur Suter and Joseph Suter and his sisters Elizabeth Wedemeyer and Catherine Cook. Albert is the cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 17th from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, New Milford. The following day, Monday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Ascension, New Milford at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack-Lodi. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Drive, New Milford, NJ 07646
