Albert E. Taylor

Albert E. Taylor, beloved resident of West Greenwich, RI, passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in South Kingstown, RI, Albert was known for his warm smile, selflessness, and work ethic. Albert was a National Guard for 8 Years and a Constable for the town of West Greenwich. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was referred to as "The Mayor" of West Greenwich. He worked in construction from a teenager and retired as a member of Local Union 271.

He was a devoted husband and father. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary. He is the father of Monique Taylor (Philadelphia, PA) and future daughter-in-law Cinquetta NIblack, and Richard and Clifford (RI), he is a cherished member of St. Joseph's Church. Albert is also survived by his grandchildren Kim Taylor (Daneill), of Atlanta GA, Brittani Taylor, of Duncan, OK, Kevin Taylor and Brielle Taylor-Curry and many great grandchildren. He had a special bond with Johneya Taylor, his Great Granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at S R Avery Funeral Home 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI 02832 on September 5, 2025, from 11 am – 12:15 pm with a service and sharing of memories starting at 12:15. Interment with committal prayers will take place at 1:30pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery 959 Nooseneck Hill Rd. West Greenwich, RI 02817.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggest donations be made to The Boy's and Girl's Club of Rhode Island in memory of Albert's compassionate spirit and lasting legacy.
