Albert Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Patrick T Lanigan Funeral Home - East Pittsburgh on Dec. 9, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Albert E. Taylor, a man defined by his strength and compassion, his playful spirit, and unfaltering dedication to caregiving. Born on the 20th of July, 1950, he departed this world far too soon on December 3, 2025.

Albert E. Taylor spent many years as a stalwart of the local Pittsburgh community, working tirelessly at the Homestead Steel Works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Al is survived by his children, Albert E. "Jay" Taylor, Jr., April D. Danielle Taylor Bostick, Anyette T. "Tee" Taylor, Andrea "Angel" Ellis, and Adam D. Taylor; his grandchildren, Alexis (who was also his dedicated caregiver), Angelo, Amir, Melaiya, Rafik, Aundrey, Andrew, Jayden, Cylus; and his last living sibling, his sister, Ariva A. Taylor.

Al is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

Albert ingrained in his children and those lucky enough to know him closely, the importance of strength and resilience. His wisdom and friendly demeanor made him a beacon of support and guidance in the community. "Albert taught me to be strong, to think before I spoke, and always be good to people," said a close friend, and such thoughts echo loudly amongst those who knew him.

Al Taylor made a significant impact throughout his professional career and as a father, forging some of his most noteworthy achievements. His legacy transcends the conventional to embrace a more profound, personal sentiment. He was a man recognized not just for his accomplishments and athleticism, but for his heart and the wisdom he generously shared.

The community mourns the loss of Albert E. Taylor. An exemplary provider, an athlete, a nurturing caregiver, a spirited conversationalist, and a compassionate friend, his absence will be palpably felt. His heavy spirit supported and helped all, and will live on, carried in the hearts of the many lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life for Al will be held in the near future.

Arrangements are entrusted to Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800.
