Alberta Hamrick, age 77, of Morgantown, WV passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born to the late Howard and Inez Morris Ashbrook on October 1, 1948 in Waynesburg, PA.
Alberta was a woman who spoke her mind and lived simply. In her later years, she especially enjoyed the activities at Sundale nursing home, with bingo and word searches being her favorites. These small routines brought her comfort and happiness. She will be remembered for her blunt honesty and quiet presence.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hamrick.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Baker and niece, Debra.
A gathering will be held at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 11AM - 1PM. Immediately following, Alberta will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
