David Ernest Frabutt passed away on February 2, 2026. He was born on September 24, 1947, and lived a life defined by dedication, integrity, service, and deep love for his family.
David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diana Marie Frabutt, who passed away in 2023. They shared a devoted marriage until her passing, and she remained the love of his life.
He is survived by his loving children, David Jeremy Frabutt and Danielle Sherriff, and son-in-law and two granddaughters.
David was the son of Ernest and Elsie Frabutt. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Frabutt and is survived by his sisters Diane and Nancy.
A lifelong believer in education and discipline, David graduated with honors from Kent State University, earning degrees in finance and business. During his academic years, he was an active member of a financial fraternity, reflecting his commitment to excellence and professionalism.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as an exceptional marksman, earning numerous sharpshooting awards. His military service was a source of lifelong pride.
He was deeply committed to service and community. For many years, David was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, often volunteering alongside his son to organize charitable events and community initiatives. He was also a proud participant in the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, honoring his Italian heritage and helping support cultural and community events.
Above all else, David valued family. He was a devoted husband and a loving, hardworking father who consistently put his family first and worked tirelessly to provide them with a stable and meaningful life.
In his quieter moments, David found joy in watching the West Virginia University Mountaineers and in traveling with his family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
David Ernest Frabutt will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, service, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His legacy lives on through his children, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
