Alberta was the cherished daughter of Lewis and Essie Ridgeway and a devoted housewife whose life was characterized by love, caring, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

As a mother to all boys—Gary Ridgeway, Donnie, John, Roger, James (Chrissy Hackel), Michael and Melvin Ray Laswell—Alberta embraced her role with warmth and dedication, often referred to as a “mother to all” by those who knew her. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Calvin Laswell, and her sons, Gary Ridgeway and Melvin Ray Laswell. Alberta also mourned the loss of her parents Lewis and Essie Ridgeway, along with her siblings Linda Sue Bishop and Mary Kay Kenzie, and Cecil Ridgeway.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, including Billy Ridgeway, David Ridgeway, Carl Ridgeway, and Terry Ridgeway, along with numerous nieces and nephews who admired her kindness and generosity.
