Georgia Kay Capps, a cherished member of her community and a devoted family matriarch, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Shepherdsville at the age of 50. Born on June 21, 1975, Georgia spent many years as a dedicated employee with Frisch's, where she was known for her warm personality and unwavering commitment to service.

Georgia is survived by her beloved mother, Dorothy Greenwell, who played an instrumental role in her life. She is also mourned by her sisters, Tammy Greenwell and Jessica Pentland; her brother, Timmy Smith who will remember her not only for her deep love but also for the joy she brought into their lives. In addition, Georgia leaves behind two precious grandchildren, Hannah Beene and Gavin Capps, who were a source of immense pride and happiness for her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family, who hold dear the memories of her vibrant spirit and loving heart. Georgia is predeceased by her son, Timmy Capps, whose loss has left a profound impact on those who knew her; her father, George Capps; and her brother, Dennis Swafford. Their absence leaves an indelible mark on her life story.

Georgia Kay Capps will be missed by many, but her legacy of love and resilience will continue to live on through her family and friends.

Her visitation will be Friday March 13, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. . There will be no service, Maraman-Billings Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
