Janet Denise Holt

Janet Denise Holt passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on May 1, 1971, Janet touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Janet enjoyed working in the kitchen at the Louisville Metro Jail. She loved the outdoors, where she found joy in swimming, hiking, and attending concerts. She was also a Dallas Cowboys lover. She had a zest for life that inspired those around her, and her passion for nature was a testament to her adventurous spirit.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her greatest joy came from caring for others and being a mother to her three children, Corey Holt, Krysta Holt Randolph, and Mara Porter. She was also a loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, who brought immense happiness into her life.

Janet is survived by her parents, Deborah Nichter and Pete Philpot. Her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren, who will carry forward the values she instilled in them.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation to be held on February 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 5:00 PM with Bro. Mark Veatch officiating.

Janet will be remembered not only for her nurturing nature and unwavering support but also for the joy she brought to the lives of those she loved. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of many.
