In Loving Memory of Alberto Flores Lechuga
Alberto Flores Lechuga, age 58, was born on April 18, 1967, in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Eluterio Flores and Francisca Lechuga Flores. He passed away on February 12, 2026, in Dalhart, Texas.
For 33 beautiful years, Alberto was married to the love of his life, Hermelinda Reyes Flores. Together they built a family rooted in strength, loyalty, and plenty of stories that will be told for generations.
He is survived by his children: Jeannete (Rob), Julio (Jazmine), Frank (Mikala), Rick (Noelia), Joaquin (Michelle) and Victor (Diana.)
Alberto was a proud grandfather to 20 grandchildren and a great-grandfather whose legacy continues to grow. His eyes lit up at the sound of little feet running through the house. If you were one of his grandkids, you knew you had a permanent spot in his heart.
He is also survived by his siblings: Rafael (Viviana), Natividad (Manuela), Ramon (Maria Remedios), Magdaleno (Maria), Ma. Del Pilar (Salvador), Raul, Fernando (Raquel), Eluterio (Lisa), Jose, Sigial Fredo (Veronica).
He was preceded in death by his sister, Edwiges, and now joins his father, Eluterio, in eternal rest.
Alberto was also a beloved uncle to 23 nephews and 20 nieces, a steady presence in a large and loving family.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a strong father, a proud grandfather, and simply “Pop” to those who loved him most. His laughter, advice, and quiet strength will echo in every family gathering.
May you rest in peace, Pop. Now you are reunited with your dad and your sister Edwiges. Te queremos mucho, Pop.
A Service honoring his life will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Carlos Perez officiating. Alberto will be laid to rest in Idaho at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Dalhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
