Leeanna Turner

Leeanna Turner, 78 of Justin, TX, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 1st in Slidell Louisiana.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox, Dumas, Texas, with Father Luis Lopez officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Sloan, father, Vester Sloan and brother, Jere Sloan, all from Dumas.

Leeanna is survived by her son, Robert Reddell of St. Bernard Louisiana, granddaughter, Jenna Reddell of New York City, New York, along with extended family Mary Hutchinson from Louisiana and Payton Smith & Philip Short from Mississippi.

Born in New York City, she moved to Dumas with her parents as a young child, graduating DHS Class of 1965. After several moves from Stratford to Dalhart and back, she moved to McClave, Colorado in 1980. She received her Nursing License in 1984 and spent 30+ years in Nursing in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas, making many friends and creating many memories. She was a Believer in Christ, and her Faith grew stronger the last few years.

She had a love for reading, travelling, taking care of her animals (too many to list) and observing God’s creations, especially the last year.

She was a loving Mother, “Nana Estee” and Miss Leeanna, and will be dearly missed.

She is now at peace in the arms of the Lord, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life.
