Alberto Salinas of Lytle, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the age of 69, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 23, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebraska to parents Elias Cadena Salinas and Victoria Andrade Salinas.
Alberto is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lionel Salinas. He is survived by his steadfast loving wife of forty-one years Bertha Castro Salinas; daughter Yvette Salinas Humble (Julian); son Steven Elias Salinas (Molly); siblings Maria Cristela Salinas (Gerardo), Romeo Elias Salinas, Graciela Salinas, Javier Salinas, and Hector Salinas; sister-in-law Marie Salinas; grandchildren Carmelina, Julian, Josiah, Judah, Lucia.
Albert loved trains, riding bikes and cruising, windows down, in his 1970 Charger, blasting Classic Rock. He met the love of his life in 1981 in Lytle, TX and immediately swooped her right off her feet! He and his new bride re-located, all the way across the street from her home, to where his grandfather was living and the rest is history as they say. Albert was an active deacon for over 35+ years at Gospel Temple A/G. This is where his faith grew strong and he planted his family roots. He was the most patient and wonderful dad to both Yvette and Steven. An even greater "PoPo" to his five grandchildren who will be left with a beautiful Godly legacy. His love for sweets was undeniable and he always had a snack nearby to share - it was his unique way to show he cared. He may not have been a man of many words but he expressed his love with what words and money could never buy - his time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and we are comforted in knowing that we will see him again soon.
