Alda Hall Obituary

Alda Lee Johnson Hall

Alda Lee Hall (Grandma Hall), 96 of Plain City, Utah passed away peacefully at Seasons Assisted Living on November 4th 2025. She was born December 7, 1928 to Niels Albert and Amy Maud Hulse Johnson in Hyrum, Utah.

With 13 brothers and sisters, and orphaned by the age of 16, Alda Lee learned the lessons of hard work early in life. Blessed with self-confidence and unwavering determination, she believed she could do anything she put her mind to-and she did.

She married Denton Clyde Hall September 2, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised seven children and two grandsons. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Grandma always liked to say she wasn't spoiled-just well cared for. And well cared for she was, between her 7 children and their spouses, 34 grandchildren and their spouses, 96 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Alda Lee was a survivor. She faced many trials and heartaches throughout her life, yet she always chose to move forward with faith and confidence in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She truly believed that life was worth living.

Alda Lee is survived by her children Bruce (Sharon) Hall, Reed (Nadine) Hall, Vurlia Westergard, Jerry (JoAnn) Hall, Janetta (David) Anderson, Donna (Jeffrey) Hurt; her two grandsons that she raised, Edward (Britney) Hall, Blake (Jessica) Hall; and their families. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Cheryl Hall; son-in-law, Gerlynn Westergard; great grandchildren, Lindsy Westergard and Ladd Dee Fox; and her 13 siblings.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 12:30pm at the Plain City 6th ward, 2335 N. 4350 W. Plain City, Utah with a viewing prior at the church from 11am to noon. Interment, Plain City Cemetery.

The family would like to express appreciation for all the kindness and compassion from the community, medical caregivers and medical facilities.
