Alden Blake Obituary
Concord, NH - The Reverend Alden H. Blake, former minister of the Waquoit Congregational Church, died on May 2 in Concord, New Hampshire. He was 85.
He served congregations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Dakota and Ohio.
While following his faith and ministering to others was his calling and career, his favorite hobbies included photography, tending to a tropical fish tank, running five miles every day and spending time with his family in the White Mountains.
Mr. Blake leaves his wife of 50 years, Carol-Ann Blake of Concord, New Hampshire; their children, Edward Blake, Sarah Carrillo and Abby Turpin; two grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great-grandson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, David Blake.
A service will be held on Thursday, May 18, at 2 PM at East Congregational Church in Concord, New Hampshire.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr.Blake. I knew him when he was associate pastor at Dalton Congregational Church. I was a pre-teen then . I remember his kindness and compassion towards my Mom during her last few years of life. She thought very highly of him.
