Having just been promoted to CEO of SC Federal Credit Union and new to the Chamber board, I learned much from just watching Tom interact with fellow executives and business leaders. When he was the chairman of the Chamber, I continued to watch him and learn. He had a strong influence on me, my management style and how to lead a large organization.

I served on the Charleston Metro Chamber Board of Directors when Tom was the Chairman. He was an impressive leader, and did a great deal for our community. I know from my fellow Rotarians that worked for him that he was a well respected and loved boss.

I work with Rebecca and know that he was a much loved Father as well.

I know that the good works he did for his family and community will live on and be remembered and appreciated for many, many years.

God bless Mr. Hood and the entire family who loves him.

So many priceless memories of life at FFCH under the leadership of Tom Hood. He was brilliant, passionate about so many causes, and always looking for ways to help the community and our customers. He had a twinkle in his eye, and his hallway whistling was music to our ears. That booming "Hello darlin'" made us all feel special. His legacy will be felt by so many for many years to come. Prayers and love to Bonnie and family.

Mr. Hood was my boss at First Federal when I came to Charleston in 1985. I considered him to be one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. I've thought of him many times over the years. It was an honor to know him and work under his tutelage. RIP
