Aletta Marie Buonaccorsi passed away at her home on November 17, 2024 after a long illness. Aletta was born in Sebastopol on April 9, 1950, and lived in Santa Rosa and San Francisco all of her life. Aletta graduated from Montgomery High in 1968, Santa Rosa Junior College and received her Bachelor of Arts from the Sonoma State University in 1973.
Aletta originally met her husband, Steven M. Frank, in High School, and though she didn't know it at the time, he would become the love of her life. While it took many years for them to reconnect, she and Steven eventually found their way back to each other and were finally married in Reno, NV. She enjoyed her retirement after 34 years as an Insurance Adjuster and with several years with the County of Sonoma.
She enjoyed volunteering with Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County and The Legacy in Sebastopol until she became ill. She also enjoy knitting and crocheting, even teaching others, as well as reading and geneology. She was a loving and caring person who enjoyed helping others. When her sister needed a place to stay, Aletta welcomed her sister Rleen to live with her. She also drove for three-months supporting her brother's bicycle adventure across America for Code Blue (raising awareness for Sonoma County Homeless). Aletta was loved by her family and friends and will be missed greatly.
Aletta is survived by her step-children, Adam Frank of Dallas, TX and Monica (Frank) Rawlins (Chris) of Dallas, TX; sister Rleen Joy Buonaccorsi-Branson of Santa Rosa; brothers Eugene John Buonaccorsi and Ed Buonaccorsi (Judy), both of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren Gillian Rawlins, Lauren Buntenbah, and Lucas Buntenbah, all of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Aletta was preceded in death by her husband Steven M. Frank, her grandson Riley Rawlins, and her parents Juanita Madge Dickey and Eugene John (Corky) Buonaccorsi.
She will be buried next to the love of her life, Steven M. Frank during a private service at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
