Alex Andrea Bednar
Alex Andrea Bednar, 30, of Hibbing, Minn., left us all too soon as she passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Hibbing Hospital.
She was born in Hibbing on April 11, 1993, to Todd and Nancy (Beel) Bednar. Alex graduated from Hibbing High School and worked locally as a care provider. A fun loving girl, Alex was happiest being with her friends and especially family. She loved to laugh and get together with her people for holidays, events and parties. Alex brought joy and laughter to those around her. She enjoyed playing board games, Yahtzee and cribbage. Always a Vikings fan, Alex cheered them on every Sunday and kept track of the football board. She loved to cook and bake with her mom along with doing crafts and decorating for whatever type of gathering. Alex was also a bit of a movie buff and enjoyed watching true crime shows.
Alex is survived by her loving family including her mom, Nancy (Doyle Birdsall) Bednar; daughter, Sofia Gjerdahl; siblings, Kelly Oberlander, Reed (Tara Nelson) Scott and Jacob (Ashley) Bednar; nieces and nephews: Mitchell (Kahlia) Mangseth, Ryan (Jordan) Mangseth, Dillon Oberlander and Raidyn Scott; grand nephew, Grey Mangseth; dear uncle, Danny; closest cousins, Mandi (Ryan) Gibson and Shanna (Steve) Giombetti; card buddy, David Vesel; great friend, Bill Schleppegrell; and beloved, cat Rio.
