Alex Frantz Obituary
Born March 2, 1934 in Ambridge, he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances Kondus Frantz.
He ended his professional career as an engineer at Bayer Corp. His life was a symphony of hobbies and interests that made him the unique person he was. His soulful voice echoed in the King Beaver Barbershop Chorus and The Lame Ducks Quartet. As a participant of the Pittsburgh Model A Club he enjoyed road trips and travel.
Alex also served his community with a sense of duty and honor as a member of the National Guard, Odd Fellows, and American Legion. His faith was evident in his dedication to the former Lighthouse Lutheran Church, where he served faithfully.
Alex's life was enriched by the love of his family.
Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Loretta Frantz; and three sons, Thomas (Jane) Frantz, Robert (Joleen) Frantz, James (Karen) Frantz; two daughters, Kimberly (Kenneth) Brown, and Holly (Dave) Kovalick; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Gallo and Olga Peterson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 11:00 AM at English Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave. Zelienople, PA. 16063
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alex's name to Good Samaritan Hospice, 116 Browns Hill Road, Suite 100 Valencia, PA. 16059
