Alex, the son of Zoe and Andreas Hatziantoniou, and husband to Maria (deceased) is survived by their son Christos; siblings John (Kiki), Nicholas, George (Elizabeth); niece Zoe, nephew Andreas, beloved in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Alex fell asleep in the Lord on December 18, 2023.
Born in Astoria, New York, on June 29, 1964, Alex is the fourth of four boys. He attended Saint Demetrios Day School from Kindergarten through 12th grade. He attended Queens College, taking courses in business administration. An avid Los Angelos Lakers fan, he played high school basketball for Saint Demetrios.
Throughout the years, Alex excelled in the food catering business. He managed the Gotham Café in Manhattan for more than a decade.
In 2013, Maria gave birth to their son Christos.
May our gracious Lord prepare a place for Alex where there is no pain, sorrow, or suffering, but everlasting life. May his memory be eternal.
A funeral service will take place at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Astoria.
(30-11, 30th Drive), on Thursday, December 21, at 12:30 p.m.
