Alex Gray Lashmit, 73, of Winston Salem passed away on Wednesday, February 11th. He was born March 3, 1952, to the late Robert Gray Lashmit and Betty Jean Lashmit. He retired from AMP/TYCO after working as an engineer for 34 years. He was a guitar enthusiast, loved watching old western shows, but most of all loved working on his car and creating things in his garage.
Alex is preceded in death by his brother Billy Eugene Lashmit. He is survived by his sister-in-law Deborah Lashmit, nephew Christopher Lashmit (wife Mandy), niece Alicia Mueller (husband Chris), 3 great nephews, Austin, Devin, Garrett, and 2 great nieces, Melody and Madison.
There will be a graveside service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 on Friday, February 20th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
