Alex Olivarez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Feb. 27, 2026.
With heavy hearts, we announce that Alex Anthony Olivarez, 38, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2026 in San Antonio, TX, the place he called home.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Alejandro Olivarez and Sylvia Hernandez, on January 19, 1988. He went to Southwest High School and Job Corp, where he gained an Electrical certificate, which led him to be an Independent Business Owner of Light it Up Solar.

Alex was full of life in a way that is hard to put into words. He didn't just walk into a room – he filled it! He greeted everyone with a smile and, as anyone who truly knew him can smile and say, with that loud, unforgettable voice that instantly let you know he was present. That voice wasn't just volume – it was joy, it was personality, it was Alex!

He loved hard, laughed loud, and lived unapologetically. He was the kind of person who could turn an ordinary moment into a memory. Whether he was blasting Morgan Wallen at full volume, singing every word like it was written just for him, or sitting at a comedy show laughing until tears rolled down his face, Alex embraced life fully. He didn't hold back his happiness – and he didn't hold back his love either.

He had a way of making people feel included, like you belonged just by being near him. His energy was contagious. His laugh was unforgettable. His presence was comforting. When Alex was around, things just felt lighter.

The world feels quieter without his voice in it. The rooms feel different without his laughter echoing through them, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the joy he spread will forever live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know him.

Alex wasn't just full of life – he was life to so many of us and he will be deeply loved, endlessly missed and never forgotten.

Alex is survived by his daughter, Aubree Olivarez and Sylvia Olivarez, step children, Daniel Vela and Serenity Vela, Mother, Sylvia Hernandez and spouse, Ezechiel Hernandez, Father, Alejandro Olivarez and spouse, Veronica Cortinas, sisters, Amanda Mendoza, Alexis Olivarez, Iliana Olivarez, brothers, Ismael Hernandez, Giovanni Olivarez, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Reanne Olivarez. Though their time on earth was not what it should have been, their bond was unbreakable. We find comfort in knowing they are reunited in eternal peace.
