Alex S. Sky (age 96)
July 21, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alex S. Sky, who departed this life peacefully on July 21, 2025, in Saint George, Utah, at the age of 96.

Born on December 12, 1928, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Alex was the son of Casimer Skrzyniarz and Katherine (née Koziol) Skrzyniarz. He lived a long and meaningful life filled with kindness, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Alex attended Queen of Apostles Elementary School and graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After his service, Alex worked for many years at the General Motors Technical Center in Michigan, from which he eventually retired.

He is survived by his devoted partner of 67 years, Lorraine McClintock, who brought love, joy, and companionship to his life. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings, John, Joseph, Mary, Harry, Anna, Delphine, Delores, Casimer, and Emily. Survived by sister-in-law Mary Lou Skrzyniarz (Casimer) and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Alex's gentle presence and thoughtful spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Alex's memory with a donation to the Piast Institute, located at 11633 Joseph Campau, Hamtramck MI 48212.

Alex S. Sky will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Michigan. Arrangements made by nephew Raymond Skrzyniarz with Jurkiewicz and Wilk Funeral Home
