Alex Reyes Yniguez, 65, peacefully passed away on October 8 after his courageous battle with lung cancer, with the love of family and friends, his faith and great nursing care.

Preceded in death by parents, Amador D. and Zenaida R. Yniguez, brother Casey A. R. Yniguez and sister Aleli Y. Taylor. Alex is survived by sister, Arlene (John) Frye, brother, Amador (Mireya) Yniguez Jr., loving nieces: Alena, Lindsay, Tatiana and nephews: Bradley, Chase, Christopher, Ryan, Tyler, Zachary; sister in law, Kim Bliss and brother in law, Jeff Taylor and many Yniguez cousins and many longtime friends.

Alex graduated from Woburn HS, MA and earned his Associates Degree from Norwalk Community College, CT. Alex loved sports; a Celtics and Dolphins fan. He was passionate of cooking, and as an incredible chef; was in the restaurant business for 4 and a half decades. He enjoyed tennis: coaching, teaching and playing. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley: his music and movies. 

While Alex lived his life wherever his job took him from Woburn, Fairfield, Bradenton, New Orleans to Killeen, he was grounded in his love for family and friends, loyal and compassionate in his care for them, and true wishes in them succeeding in all they pursued. 

Alex lived HIS BEST life and his legacy of a very caring heart and thoughtful ways in helping others will be remembered.  Alex will always be in our hearts.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Rd., Fairfield, CT. 06824.
