Alexa Pauls, beloved wife and friend, passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Alexa was born on April 4, 1979, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and spent her life enriching the lives of those around her with her adventurous spirit, loving and competitive nature.
Alexa was a cherished member of her family, which included her devoted husband, Zac Pauls of Moore, OK. She was blessed with a host of friends and relatives who will remember her fondly and miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewayne and Linda Hammack.
Alexa attended Dewar Public Schools where she competed in basketball and softball. She then went to Conners State College where she continued to play
softball and earned her Associate of Science degree. After that, she went to Northeastern State University to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Alexa was a devoted advocate for the transplant community after having 3 transplants of her own by volunteering with LifeShare. She received a kidney from her mother, a pancreas from an anonymous donor, and another kidney from a close friend. Over the years, she has attended the Transplant Games of America as a member of Team Oklahoma as well as the World Transplant Games as a part of Team USA where she competed in sports such as bowling, table tennis, and pétanque.
Even though Alexa Pauls was taken too soon, her life was full of love, adventure, and laughter. She made friends everywhere she went. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
