Alexander L. Abraham

Alexander Lazar Abraham, a 52 year resident of Glenview, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on December 26, 2024. He was born in Iraq on September 21st, 1934 and left for the United States in 1962. Alex was the beloved husband of Adeline for 62 years. He has five children David (Nicole), Joseph (Michelle), Alexandra (James), Jack (Kari), and Peter (Mary). He loved his amazing eight grandchildren, Ben, Alexandria, Juliana, Lauren, Katherine, Olivia, Angelina, and Sophia. Survived by his two sisters Evelyne and Olivia along with many nephews and nieces. Alex is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edmond. Alex loved working in the restaurant business where he taught his five children on work ethics and how to treat people. He enjoyed his beer/wine with friends and family while watching the NFL/NHL with his grandchildren on Sundays during his retirement. He will be greatly missed by all that truly knew him. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saint Odisho Church, 6201 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, Illinois. Lie-in-state will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:00 am at church. Interment to follow at Montrose Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. Third Day service will held Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 9:00 am at church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Alex's name to Saint Odisho Church. Funeral care provided by G.L.
