Alexander Gilbert Adams

Alexander Gilbert Adams, 32, of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, in Cecil Township. He was born June 7, 1993, in Pittsburgh, a son of Susan Gilbert of Lawrence and the late Christopher Columbus "Thumper" Adams Jr. Alex was a 2011 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He attended West Liberty University and received his bachelor's degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Adams was employed by Insituform Technologies, Inc., of Oakdale. Alex lived his life marked by passion and connection. His motto was "Can't stop, won't stop until I achieve greatness". He had a deep love for motorcycle riding, it brought him joy and a sense of freedom. Alex was a member and president of the Deacons Motorcycle Club, Washington Chapter. Surviving in addition to his mother, Susan, are his companion, Dominique Gaston; her son, Adrian; a sister, Summer Peterson of Canonsburg; four brothers: Daniel Peterson of Canonsburg, Stedman Peterson of Lawrence and Christopher and Matthew Adams both of Pittsburgh; his godmother, Kimberly Robinson-Carver (Virgil) of Canonsburg; uncles: Joel (Paulette) Gilbert of Manheim, Corey (LaTisha) Gilbert of Canonsburg, Lonnie Adams of Canonsburg and Gregory Charles Adams of Pittsburgh; an aunt, Robin Michelle Adams of Pittsburgh; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his father, are his brother, Justin Peterson; maternal grandmother, Doris Gilbert; and his paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Lorraine Coles. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner / Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, and from 10 to 11 a.m, the time of the funeral, Monday, October 13, in the Mt.
