Alexander "Alex" Bost, age 35, passed away March 3, 2026. He was born February 7, 1991, to George Bost and Diana Vasquez in
Corpus Christi, Texas.
Alex was raised in
Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M–Corpus Christi in 2019.
Alex enjoyed playing tennis with his late brother Andrew, throwing the football and complaining about the Dallas Cowboys with his brother Julian, and playing golf with his father, George. He also enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'Em poker and video games with his friends, teasing his cousins and relatives, and playing and walking with his dear dogs, Shelby and Lexi.
Alex was employed by TechServ. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend.
He will always be remembered for his incredible humor and playfulness, his acceptance and kindness toward everyone he met, his radiant smile, his sharp intellect and wit, and his infectious personality. Alex was known for his amazing athletic abilities, his deep love of family, and his devotion to his two beautiful dogs, Shelby and Lexi. He faced profound challenges with courage and optimism and was admired for his unrelenting work ethic and his responsible, dutiful nature.
Alex is preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Andrew Bost; his paternal grandparents, Wallace "Red" Bost and Susana Vasquez Mellado; his maternal grandparents, Rodolfo Grunberger and Irma Reynoso; and his aunt, Marilú Reynoso.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Diana Grunberger Vasquez; his father, George Charles Bost; his youngest brother, Julian Anthony Bost; his stepdad, Rolando Vasquez; his uncle and Godfather, Rodolfo Grunberger (Lourdes); his uncle, Guillermo Grunberger; his aunt, Susana Bost; his uncle, James Bost; his aunt, Debbie Bost (Carlos); and his cousins Amaya (Paco), Itziar (Carlos), Alejandra, Guillermo, Patricio, Valeria, Leslie, JJ, Andres, Claudia, Jim, Camila, Victoria, Natalia, Mason, Carlos, Mauricio, Debbie, and Juan German, and his Husky, Shelby Bost, and his Boxer, Lexi Bost.
The family would like to give special thanks to TechServ, Alex's employer, who went above and beyond to support him through his battle with colon and liver cancer. We are grateful for everything they did to support him and allow him to remain employed while he was fighting his disease. We are also endlessly grateful for Christus Spohn Hospice, and especially Crystal Rodriguez, RN, for her dedication, attentiveness, and kindness to Alex leading up to his journey to Heaven.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM that same evening. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at a later time.
