Alexander A. "Alex" Buono

Alexander "Alex" A. Buono, 63, of Lincroft, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16 th at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel surrounded by his loving family. Alex was born at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch to the late Alexander and Patricia Buono, growing up in Holmdel. Alex was a graduate of Holmdel High School, where he earned the nickname "Butch". He continued his education thereafter at Brookdale Community College. He moved to Red Bank for several years, before eventually settling into his forever home in Lincroft, where he enjoyed having company and entertaining family and friends.

He worked in Sales for several years, particularly for Air-Flo, Inc. before settling into a Management role with YESTERcades, where he was instrumental in assisting launching the company in 2011 and aided in opening future locations, before easing into retirement. Aside from working passionately in his career endeavors, Alex had a passion for taking on projects around his home, spending much of his time in his meticulously maintained garage/workshop, having a deep passion for his painting projects that were always completed to perfection. Although Alex loved his projects, what was truly special was the love and care that he had for his "little girl", Tabitha, his Cocker Spaniel of 13 years.

He was predeceased in life by his Mother Patricia Buono (nee Villanova) and Father Alexander Buono. He is survived by his Longtime Companion, Ken Kalada of Lincroft, his siblings Karen and husband Daniel Power of Hazlet, and Michael and wife Patricia Buono of Wall Township, along with four nephews Christopher, Andrew, Joseph, and Christian. Alex's legacy is one of love, making each moment special in his own way. Alex put his family before everything, and his love is a light that will shine bright in each and every one of them.

Although Alex's time on earth has come to an end, he will be welcomed with open arms by all his family, friends, and cherished pets above whom have gone before him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st from 3pm – 7pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, October 22nd at 9:15am at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel.
