Alexander Wilson Harris III

Alexander "Al" Wilson Harris, III, 84, of Friendsville, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Born in Dumont, New Jersey he was the son of the late Alexander Wilson, Jr. and Dorothy (Buchanan) Harris. Al was the beloved husband of Donna (Beam) Harris with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. Al honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years. Al was a member of the American Legion Post 922 of Mountainhome; the LeRaysville Pike County Volunteer Fire Company and was a lifetime member of the Pocono Mountain Volunteer Fire Company. Al enjoyed the outdoors and took pride in hunting and fishing. Above all, Al was a family man whom enjoyed simple moments with his loved ones.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Donna; Al will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Alexander Harris, IV., James Harris and his wife, Jennifer and Charlie Harris and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Shannon Harris-Gaffney; Step Children, Howard Day, Sailor Moore and Tracie Salmon; as well as, many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Al was preceded in death by his stepson, Hayward Day and grandson, Vincent August.
Services: A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. in the Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Cresco Pa 18326 where a memorial service will take place at 7:00P.M. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place at 1:00P.M on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003.
