Alexander "Rock" Illes, 91, of Coatesville, PA, Met his Savior face to face on Saturday, November 15, 2025, Surrounded by his loving and caring caregivers at Emmanuel Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Alex was born in Coatesville, PA, April 28, 1934. He was the son of the late Michael and Bessie (Molnar) Illes. Alex was the youngest boy and middle child in his family and had 13 siblings. He was the loving husband of the late Amelia J. "Bonnie" Illes. They were married for 59 years before her passing in 2015.

Alex worked as a Mason Contractor for his entire career. First with his brothers and later on with his son Edward.

Alex Loved Jesus more than anything else. He loved to think and talk about what the homecoming would be like one day. He was a kind and caring man who would help a stranger whenever there was a need. He loved his country and cared deeply cared for veterans.

Some of his most cherished times were when the family would gather for picnics in the backyard and the neighbors would join in. He reveled in "stinging" someone in a game of croquet. Many family trips to Wildwood brought much joy and laughter.

His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy! His prayer is that all who knew him would also know of his love for his Savior.

He is survived by his children, Edward Illes of Glenmore, PA, Alexis (Daniel) Ware of Quarryville, PA, and Bonnie (Michael) Spagnuolo of Catawissa, PA, Thomas Cavallaro of Port St Lucie, Fl; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. And his only remaining sibling Priscilla Repak of Coatesville, Pa..

Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
