Both of us worked at BDC and spent time with Alex. Some people would say that we were special because we "worked" with people with disabilities. We NEVER considered it "work!" It was a learning experience.
People like Alex taught us patience, empathy, insight, appreciation and so much more. HIs incredible spiritual strength and the way he embraced the life he had were examples of what we all should strive for in our lives.
We offer you our deepest sympathy. And, our thanks for having a son who taught us so much.
