Alexander Metzler

Alexander Metzler, 65, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident and worked for Greater Philadelphia Inc. for more than 20 years of dedicated service. He most recently worked delivering for Eastern Autoparts. In his spare time, he enjoyed saltwater fishing, watching footballs and cheering on the Chicago Bears. He was a loving and caring husband who loved spending time with his wife, Donna.

Predeceased by his parents, Earl Metzler, Sr. and Mary Gernhardt Metzler; and his brother, Earl Metzler, Jr.; he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Donna Howarth Metzler; 3 nephews, Brandon Metzler and his wife Kelly; Christopher Metzler, and Nicholas Pointon; a niece, Ashley Shaner and her husband, Dominick; 4 great nieces, Sydney Metzler, Layla Shaner, Liana Shaner and Lucelia Shaner; 2 aunts, Laura and Louise Gernhardt; an uncle Lawrence Gernhardt; a sister-in-law, Kathy Metzler; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

A Memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
