Alexander John Pierson

Alexander John Pierson, affectionately known as Al, left us on March 25, 2026. Born on July 27, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, Al spent his early years in the city of brotherly love before moving to Quarryville, Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, a compassionate brother, a loyal friend, and a reliable presence in the lives of many.

Al was the epitome of service – serving his country as a U.S. Marine and protecting his community as a police officer and detective with the City of Philadelphia. His unwavering dedication, along with his quick wit and innate ability to make people laugh, brought light to many lives. Al had a special knack for reading, often enjoying a good book, but his true passion was his wife, Ginny. Their bond was unbreakable and the love they shared was evident to all who knew them.

Al is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Pierson, and his two sisters, Mary Anne Pierson, MSBT and Terry Pierson, SSJ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Pierson and Alice Bollendorf. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service that continues to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His funny anecdotes, compassionate presence, and steadfast loyalty will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena R. C. Church 955 Robert Fulton Highway Quarryville, PA 17566. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow Tuesday 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Al will be laid to rest with US Marine Corps Honors following mass at Quarryville Cemetery 695 Robert Fulton Highway Quarryville, PA.
