Alexander Dawson Reams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 24, 2025.
Our beloved son, Alex, age 22, left this earth unexpectedly to go to his heavenly home on May 5, 2025. Born on July 27, 2002, in Clearwater, Florida, Alex was the son of Karen and Phil Reams. He graduated from Clinton High School in 2021 and worked as a technician at Jiffy Lube in Farragut.

Alex was a vibrant and adventurous soul, passionate about fast cars, getting his hands dirty repairing cars, and anything related to them. He was a reliable friend, always ready to lend a helping hand. His quick wit and infectious smile brought joy to everyone he met.

Alex was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Lucille Fritz, and his paternal grandparents, Lester and Virgie Reams. He is survived by his parents, Phil and Karen Reams, and numerous cousins on both sides of the family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Second Baptist Church (777 Public Safety Lane, Clinton, TN 37716) on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Receiving of friends will begin at 2:00 PM, with the service starting at 3:00 p.m.

There are so many great things I could say about Alex and the time we spent together. One of the strongest, sweetest and most heartfelt people I´ve ever met. To know Alex is to love him. I wouldn´t replace our memories for anything.

I got to know Alex over the years by the many photos and wonderful stories I received from his mother, Karen. I would have loved to have gotten to know this wonderful young man. My heart goes out to all of those who have known him and loved him. With deepest sympathy.

I had posted a couple photos a few days ago. My message did not go through though so ima try again: Love you Alex, you were my best friend. I had fun with our matress run to the dump, it was my idea to put it in the wrong spot (it almost fell), but we learned. And the headphones photo is probably my favorite of you. Will always miss you my man, we had so many adventures, but you're in a better place now. Fly high and I look forward to seeing you again one day . Say hi to Cookie for me . -Jerm

I used to work with Alex, I fondly recall many times we would sit in the back of the store and just talk for hours. He was a fun loving and carefree spirit and it radiated through everything he did. Whether it was him was throwing a rod through his engine doing doughnuts in the parking lot, or just ways he found such tremendous joy in the smallest things. Alex had a genuinely rare ability that allowed him to see the silver lining in everything that happened. He always kept his head high, no matter what. I´ll carry the memories and lessons he gave me for the rest of my life.

One of the greatest friends I´ll ever have in my life. Alex was one of the most genuine and funniest friends a person could ever ask for in this world. Alex was a one of a kind human being that was always beloved by everyone he was around. He made such a large impact on not just myself but to the world as well. I feel honored to have had the chance to call him my friend.

It´s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone like Alex. He was one of the kindest people I´ve ever known-someone who truly cared about others and showed it through his compassion and his actions. Whether you needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or just someone to joke around with Alex was always there.
He had this incredible way of making people feel seen and valued. His humor, his heart, and his steady presence made the world around him better. I´ll always remember the laughs we shared. Alex, you are missed deeply, your kindness and your spirit live on in all of us who knew you. Thank you for being who you were.

Always enjoyed talking about cars with Alex when I worked with him. He loved that d series red Honda. My car had the same engine so we liked to talk about issues we were having. Solid guy to work with such a shame he's gone too soon.

Alex is probably one of the only few I really got to know well in such a short time. I miss when there was any open opportunity, we would go for a cruise around TN. He was the one who got me into Hondas and I could never thank him enough for opening my eyes to them. Thank you Alex

me and alex worked together back in food city and i remember us driving around with caleb- he also helped me learn how to drive and took me to a car wash where we washed my car together for the first. i never realized how grateful i was for that.

I didn´t have the privilege of knowing him more than a year and a half, we worked together as coworkers but eventually grew to be very good friends. I knew the first day I met him that we would get along greatly. Alex and I would joke around more than we would work, something I miss very deeply. We spent hours and hours just talking about the most random things we wouldn´t ever discuss with other people. I never expected something this terrible would happen. He had an amazing sense of humor that was unmatched by most of the people I´ve ever met in my life. He once told me that I was the only reason he continued to work at jiffy lube despite his grievances with the company itself, something that I didn´t think much of at the time but now is a memory I´ll hold dear to me for the rest of my life.

Fly high buddy I´ll see you when I get there.

Alex helped me get through the tough times in highschool my sophomore year. Then we stayed in touch and he helped me through the rest. Our little friend group would always hang out at lunch time and would always have the best of time.

I taught Alex at Clinton high school. He was a freshman at the time and he acted like it! In the best way of course. I enjoyed teaching him as he was funny and goofy, but also kind and a hard worker.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Alex is a very great man, a great son and a great friend. He was a joy to be around and he always made us laugh at work. Alex has a pure heart with a strong character. Haven´t met many like him. I´m glad I was able to know him. My condolences go to his family and friends and anyone else that he has impacted.

Our sweet Alex. He was such a joy to everyone at the shop and always had something to say to make us laugh, or a word of wise counsel when we were upset.

I was visiting from Texas and made Alex put his arm around me and take that picture of us together that I posted!
Karen I went to college together and became forever friends. I had the wonderful privilege of getting to know Alex as a young adult on this visit as I hadn´t seen him since he was a toddler. He was silly, fun and full of joy! Alex I know you are now in the arms of Jesus as you had invited Him into your heart when you were younger. He is your Saviour! You will be missed here on this earth!
