Alexander Rohwedder
With heavy hearts, our family shares the passing of Alexander Rohwedder on May 27, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father, Heinz Rohwedder, and survived by his mother, Lilia Rohwedder; his brother, Carl Rohwedder; and his two beloved daughters, Skye and Rylee Rohwedder.
Born on March 15, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, Alexander moved with his family to Bremerton, Washington in 1975, where he grew up and graduated from Olympic High School in 1989. That same year, he joined the U.S. Army and went on to serve honorably in Operation Desert Storm, providing vital communications support for the 1st Armored Division's tanks. For his service, he was awarded the Southeast Asia Service Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
After his military service concluded in 1995, Alexander returned to Washington with his family and built a career as a Communication Repair Specialist. He had a deep love for nature and found peace in the outdoors, often hiking the trails of Camano Island and other scenic parts of Washington. Some of his most cherished moments were spent sharing those hikes with his daughters.
In 2020, amid the global pandemic, Alexander relocated to Forks, Washington. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and love of nature. His presence will be deeply missed.
