Alexander Madison Thornley Jr., affectionately known as "Alex" to his loved ones, was born on August 4, 1984, in Stanford, Connecticut. He was the cherished son of Alexander Madison Thornley Sr. and Vanessa Thornley.
Alex's early years were marked by a move to New Jersey when he was 10, a decision his parents made seeking a better environment for him and his sister. It was in New Jersey where Alex's diverse interests flourished. He excelled in football, basketball, and swimming, earning a reputation as a dependable lifeguard. His love for music and running also featured prominently in his life.
Known for his strong work ethic from a young age, Alex began delivering newspapers in his community at 4 AM. His dedication and commitment didn't go unnoticed, as he made headlines in the local newspaper at the age of 13 for his exemplary service.
Alex's personality was a beacon of joy and energy. His beautiful smile, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty made him a beloved figure. He was outgoing, ambitious, and the life of every party, always bringing positive energy wherever he went. His love for his family was profound, especially for his mother, his first love, affectionately referred to as "MA".
Professionally, Alex was a driver for Priority Care, where he played a crucial role in transporting patients to and from medical appointments. He also served as the head of security at Ekko Lounge, showcasing his versatility and dedication.
Above all, Alex was a devoted father to his sons Javien, Jackson, Jalen Jordon, and Justin, instilling in them the values of love, hard work, and resilience. He is survived by his loving parents, Alexander Sr. and Vanessa; his brother Eugene (Caroline); sisters Alana (Sharone) and Takeria nephew Tahrif; nieces Tamia and Dries; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends who will miss him dearly.
As we bid farewell to Alexander Madison Thornley Jr., we celebrate his remarkable life, the joy he brought to our lives, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
