Alexandra attended Nixon HS before graduation from TAMIU. Alexandra dedicated more than 15 years to the field of education within the Laredo United Independent School District, concluding her career as a math teacher at United Middle School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymundo Alfonso Torres and Ana Maria Torres and sister in law, Claudia Dovalina.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years of marriage Mauro Lopez; 2 children, Andres Lopez and Mia Lopez; siblings Anita (Jose) Pena and Nina Ray Torres; mother in law, Josefina Lopez; sisters in law, Alejandra (Brandon) Perkins, Maria Teresa (Harley) Quezada and Jossie (Alexander) Morales; brothers in law, Gustavo (Carla) Lopez and Francisco Dovalina; as well as other family members and friends who will greatly miss her.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Christopher Bogaev and Dr. Scott Ulmer of Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Also to Ray, Manny, Chuy and Mike from Digni Care Ambulance in Laredo, Texas. As well to Alpha Home Health and Staff and Altus Hospice and Staff.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, October 11, 2024, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from the funeral home to Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
