Obituary of Alexia Evans
Alexia Monae Tunia Evans, 27, was born in St. Petersburg, Florida to Velva Mathis and Alexis Evans. She grew up in St. Petersburg, where she graduated from Gibbs High School in 2016.
During high school, she began working at Dunkin' Donuts, where she worked for many years and enjoyed making customers smile by making delicious coffee drinks and wearing bright colors on holidays. After finishing high school, she was very proud to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Alexia was beloved by neighbors for selling candy, pickles, and other food. Alexia loved spending time with her children, Kayden and Anastasya, especially taking silly photos and dancing videos with them, and she was so proud to tell others when they did well in school, karate, and basketball. She loved indulging in smoothies, sushi, and cheesecake, doing arts and crafts, relaxing to jazz music, getting dressed up, and smelling all the great scents at Bath & Body Works. She enjoyed trying many new adventures with her Big Sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kim Limer, whom she had known since she was nine years old. Alexia was a big fan of The Salvador Dali Museum after attending camp there as a child. Alexia's smile was contagious.
Alexia went to heaven on May 4, 2024. Her memory will be cherished by her two children, Kayden and Anastasya Evans, her mother, Velva Mathis, her father, Alexis Evans, her sisters, Kenishia Jordan and Tambra Evans, her brothers Tyrone Gray, Mario Robinson, Shawan Burgess, and Learoi Benoit, her grandmother, Mattie Mathis, her grandfather, Moses Mathis, Sr., her cousins, aunties, and uncles, and many other loving family members and friends.
Alexia's memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Pinellas Community Church, 5501 31st Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida 33712.
