Waynesville, Alexis Grace Sherrill, 17, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Jason Sherrill and Natasha Potter. Lexi enjoyed fishing, being at Lake Fontana with family, singing, listening to music and hanging out with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Tony Sherrill (Jacque) and Jana Sherrill; maternal grandparents, Roger and Sonya Potter; maternal great-grandparents, Dan and Judy Best; two sisters, Aubrey and Abby Sherrill; and a brother, Taylor Sherrill; aunts, Tasha Sherrill Ball (Jason), Nisha Potter and Nicole Platt (Brandon); uncle, Chris Haney; and all her friends that were like family to her.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew Pressley officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The care of Lexi has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
