Alfred Edward “Bj” Bonwell II, age 43, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on June 17, 1981, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Bj was a beloved son ,brother, uncle, and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bj began his education at Morningside Elementary and Carrol Peak Elementary before attending Morningside Middle School. Later in life, he proudly earned his GED—a testament to his determination and commitment to personal growth.
A man of deep faith, Bj was a devoted Christian who kept God at the center of his life. His spiritual grounding shaped the way he treated others—with kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. He was known for being family-oriented and for embracing everyone he met with warmth and sincerity. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
Bj leaves behind his beloved Mother who was his rock Joyce Bonwell and his dad who he found his strength in Alfred Bonwell Sr .He held a special bond with his beloved sisters whom he leaves behind , Rovonda Thomas (Tim Thomas) and Christina Wagoner (Livingston Wagoner Sr.), cherishing their connection deeply. Bj also leaves behind his treasured nieces and nephews—Chyanne, Cody, Chasity, and Livingston (“LJ”) Chayson—who brought immense joy to his life.
Bj had a profound passion for music and reading. Musically inclined from an early age, he found joy in melodies and rhythms that spoke to the soul. Reading offered him both comfort and inspiration—a quiet refuge where he could explore new ideas and perspectives. Above all else, spending time with family was what mattered most to him.
He is reunited in peace with his baby nephew Harllow and his grandmother Allean Foy . His grandfather Ernest Bonwell Sr. Also proceeded in death Nana / Papa Harrell—loved ones whose memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Bj’s legacy lives on through a host of uncles , aunts & many cousins who loved him dearly . They will remember him for his generous spirit, loving nature, and the light he brought into their lives.
