Alfred Alan Davis, 88, of Springdale; passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Willard Walker Hospice Home, Fayetteville. He was born Sunday, November 8, 1936, at Huntsville; to Virgil Davis and Georgia Irene Dillahunty Hubbard.
Alfred married Sharon Kay Barton on November 9, 1956, at Wichita, Kansas and together they had four children: Jeff, Leslie, Shelley, and Kristie. Raised by his grandfather Frank Dillahunty, Alfred pursued a career as a Carpenter for over 55 years, finding great joy in his work and putting in dedicated effort. He cherished watching westerns, reading books, and indulging in activities like roping and pheasant hunting. Alfred had a deep love for people, known for his storytelling, jokes, and playful pranks. He took immense pleasure in watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, finding his greatest happiness in his beloved family.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Kay Davis, his parents, Virgil Davis and Georgia Irene Hubbard, and one sister, Mary Grace Davis.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jan Davis of Huntsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Jeff Otis of Huntsville, Shelley and Lyndell Thomas of Fayetteville, and Kristie and Mitch Morris of Huntsville. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one sister and brother-in-law, Fern and X Dotson of Hindsville.
The family will receive friends 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Brashears Funeral Home with Glenn Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Derek Thomas, Aaron Davis, Josh Morris, Justin Litterell, Ethan Morris, Ethan Otis, Andrew Davis, and Avery Davis. Interment will immediately follow services at Alabam Cemetery, Huntsville, AR.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alfred's name may be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E Longview St, Fayetteville, AR, 72703.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
