Alfred Decaire Obituary
Al left this earth to join his wife at heavens gate on Jan 30, 2026.
Al was a LONG TIME resident of Mulvane. He was known to most as the owner of Al and Betty's Restaurant in downtown Mulvane. Al wore many hats in 60 plus years in Mulvane. Before the Restaurant he served 20 years for his country in the Air Force at McConnell AFB. After selling the restaurant he found his true passion, AUCTIONS and Estate sales. Nothing made him happier than buying a box of trash for a dollar, or a hat or boots or a grandfather clock.
Al was preceded in death by his wife Betty, first born son Robert, great grandchild Matt and 8 siblings. He is survived by 4 children Debra Carpenter, Alfred M. Decaire (Mary) of Mulvane, Daniel ( Holly) Decaire of Derby and Christopher Decaire of Tucson AZ. He is also survived by sister Joanne Decaire of St Pete FL., 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Robert, Candace, Jeramy, Michelle, Mandy, Luke , Clinton, Christopher, Teasha, Cheyenne; 31 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Visitation 5-7pm Thursday, February 5, at Smith Mortuary in Mulvane. Services will be held at 11am Friday, February 6, at Friendship Baptist Church, 2209 E. Pawnee, Wichita . Interment and reception following in Mulvane.
A memorial is established with the Kansas Honor Flight.
