Bro.Goode was a gentle, soft spoken man that when he spoke you always wanted to listen. Just listening to him you knew how much he loved the "word of God". We will miss our dear friend, but rejoice knowing that his physical suffering is over. We are sad that we were unable to attend his funeral services. However, we believe had he known God was preparing to take him to his eternal home that his last testimony might have been: 2Tim.4:7-8: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day. We will always cherish our conversation concerning the scriptures. We are truly blessed to have known, Bro. A. Goode, a true "man of God". Until we meet again, may you rest in the loving arms of our Lord.

He was a gentle giant among men. I only knew Bro. Goode for about 2 years. During that time I never once heard him complain. He would only thank God for his many blessings. He was a fan of southern gospel music and would always thank me for singing in the church. Today Bro. Goode you are walking with a new stride on Hallelujah Square! I only regret that you got there before me. If anyone deserved heaven Bro. it was you. There will be a vacancy in my heart for a long time. Thank you God for sharing Bro. Goode with us!

I had the great honor of serving Bro. Goode as his pastor. He was a precious, respected and faithful member of our church for many years. Among the many memories I will cherish was his tremendous desire to study and learn more of the Bible. He will be greatly missed.
