Alfred A. LaFrance, 87, of Manchester died April 20, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare Northwood Nursing Home in Bedford.

Born in Manchester on May 16, 1920, he was the son of Arthur and Alice (Demers) LaFrance. He lived in Manchester and Bedford.

He served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. LaFrance worked as an electrical contractor for many years. He owned and operated LaFrance Electric.

He was married to Lucille (Benoit) LaFrance who died in 2007.

The family includes three children, Alfred B. LaFrance of Las Vegas, NV, Raymond LaFrance of Newington, CT and Linda Lafond of Roswell, GA; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Monday April 28, 2008 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
